Chicken Manchurian with Fried Rice

Chicken Manchurian is an Indochinese recipe. The flavor of soya sauce in Manchurian is very intense which makes its taste unique. To make Chicken Manchurian, the chicken is cut into small cubes which gives a good shape to our Chicken Manchurian.

You can also eat it with fried rice for dinner. In today’s article, along with Chicken Manchurian, I will also tell you how to make Fried Rice. Chicken Manchurian is made in two steps. This recipe is a fusion of Indian and Chinese tastes.

1.                  Boneless  Chicken                     400 grams
2.              Ginger Garlic paste                    1 full spoon
3.                  Salt                 As  per taste
4.              Corn flour                     1 cup
5.             Soya sauce, vinegar                 2 tablespoon
6.       Red Chilli sauce, Tomato ketchup                  2 tablespoon
7.              Green chilies              4-5 Finely chopped
8.                Pepper powder                   1 tablespoon
9.                  Carrot             1 Finely chopped
10.                 Capsicum                         1
11.                 Onion                         1
12.              Coriander leaves        Half cup finely chopped
13.                 Oil                 2 spoon
14.                Egg                   2
15.          Chopped Ginger and garlic                  Half cup



  • First of all, wash the chicken properly and cut it into bite-size pieces.
  • Drain out Excess Water.
  • Now add black pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, egg, and salt to it.
  • Mix well and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Add cornflour and mix till corn flour coats chicken properly.
  • Now heat the oil in a deep pan.
  • Drop Chicken Pieces one by one into the oil.
  • Fry for 6-7 minutes on medium flame.
  • Fry it till it becomes golden.
  • When it turns golden, take it out on a plate.
  • Now wash and chop all the vegetables.

How to make Chicken Manchurian

  • Heat 2tbsp oil in a deep pan.
  • Add chopped garlic and chopped ginger.
  • Stir for 10 sec on high flame.
  • Stir till it turns light Golden.
  • Now add chopped green chilies.
  • Saute for 20 sec on high flame.
  • Add Onion petals and saute for 1 minute.
  • Now add green capsicum and carrot and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add soya sauce Tomato ketchup, and red chili sauce and stir for 30 sec on high flame.
  • Now add vinegar, black pepper powder, and salt and stir for 1 minute.
  • Add fried Chicken and mix with all ingredients.
  • Now add corn slurry and stir for 2 minutes on high flame.
  • Sprinkle Coriander leaves and stirs for 20 seconds.
  • If you want more gravy then add 1 cup extra water and cook for 2 minutes.

Now Your Chicken Manchurian is ready. You can serve it with Fried rice.

Fried Rice 

Fried rice is a quick and delicious recipe. it is a Chinese dish. The good thing about fried rice is that you can add any veggie you would like. It is tasty as well as a healthy recipe. It’s an instant recipe it can be prepared in just a few minutes. To make Chinese-style fried rice, you should soak the rice in water for some time.

7.                   Chopped carrot                          1
8.                Finely Chopped Beans                      ½   Cup
9.                 Soya sauce                      2tbsp
10                  Vinegar                     1 tbsp


How to make Fried Rice 

How to make Fried Rice
  • First of all, rinse the rice and soak it for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  • Now drain excess water and keep it aside.
  • Heat a large pot and add 4 to 5 cups of water.
  • Add half a tbsp salt and 3 to 4 drops of cooking oil.
  • Let the water boil for 5 minutes on a high flame.
  • Now add soaked rice and let it cook.
  • Rice is ready, Now heat the oil in a deep pan.
  • Add garlic and saute for 30 sec.
  • Stir till it turns light brown.
  • Add green chili and saute for 20 sec on high flame.
  • Now add onion and fry till it turns light brown.
  • Add all the chopped vegetables and Saute them for 1.5 to 2 minutes.
  • Now add boiled rice and mix it with vegetables.
  • Add salt, soya sauce, and vinegar and Stir for 3 to 4 minutes.

Now your Fried Rice is ready. You can serve it with Chicken Manchurian.


  • Marinating the chicken before fry helps to soften the chicken.
  • You can also grill the chicken instead of deep fry.
  • You can also make Chicken Dry Manchurian by the same method.
  • You can also eat Chicken Manchurian with Noodles.
  • You can also use soya sauce while marinating chicken, it enhances its taste even more.
  • You can use any vegetable of your choice in making fried rice.
  • I garnished it with coriander leaves, you can also use chopped beans.
