Elon Musk visits Twitter headquarters ahead of takeover deadline

Billionaire Elon Musk says he has been served notice by court to close his $44 billion deal for the social media platform 

Musk said in the caption of a video that Musk tweeted in which he was walking into the Twitter office with a sink in his hand. 

A few hours ago, he hinted at being the company's top boss after updating his profile bio to "Chief Tweet". 

Twitter confirmed that Musk would be visiting the San Francisco office this week, but declined to comment further.

Musk has begun sending $13 billion in cash to Twitter for the acquisition.
