FPUA Prepares for Tropical Storm Nicole

The Fort Pierce Utilities Authority is taking steps to ensure a safe recovery when Tropical Storm approaches Florida's coasts.

Tuesday, November 8 to Thursday, November 11 until 3 pm The FPUA's customer service lobby will remain closed for safety.

Javier Cisneros said, “We know that our customers trust us and we are committed to taking every step possible to ensure a speedy and safe restoration of any service impacted by this storm.”

On Monday afternoon The FPUA activated its hurricane response plan.

All facilities and equipments have been ready for bad weather.

Electricity and communication can be disrupted due to the strong effect of wind.

Tropical Storm Nicole is prone to flooding due to destructive winds and heavy rain.

The National Weather Service has said that gusts of 74 to 110 mph indicate the possibility of wind.
