Lake effect snow warning issued

According to the NWS, snow fell in southwestern Lewis County from late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Snow is expected to move into northern Lewis County Thursday night into Friday night.

It will be 8 to 16 inches of accumulation in far northern Lewis County through Friday.

Snow Warning in effect from 1 PM until 1 PM Friday.

Two and a half days of heavy lake effect snow expected in Jefferson County.

Most is expected to fall in a band from Watertown and Fort Drum to Philadelphia.

Snow can fall anywhere from 1 to 3 feet where the snow is more stable and the icy winds can gust up to 35 miles per hour.

Warnings have been issued for St. Lawrence County from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday.
