Qualifying for the NYC Marathon Is Difficult, But You Don't Have to Be a Veteran to Run in the Fun

The first group to enter the race to be held in New York City at 8 a.m. will be the Professional Wheelchair Division.

20 minutes after 8 am i.e. at 8:22 am the selection of hand cycle category and handicapped athletes will be done.

The professional women's and men's open division will begin at 8:40 am while the men will cross the starting line at 9:05 am.

Then there will be the turn of the non-professionals who will start at 9:10 AM, 9:45 AM, 10:20 AM, 10:55 AM and 11:30 AM respectively in 5 different waves.
