Rates on mortgages are wavering below today

30-year mortgage average decreased on Tuesday

It has fluctuated significantly from its highest level since 2002

Like the 30-year rates, the 15-year average is about four-tenths below its recent peak.

That was its highest level since 2007 at 7.03%.

Now at 6.02%, the jumbo 30-year average is down from its 12-year peak of 6.27%
