Starbucks workers go on strike

On Thursday More than a thousand Starbucks workers went on strike.

Starbucks workers picket outside more than 100 stores across the country in their biggest one-day strike.

This day is known as Walkout Red Cup Day.

When the biggest coffee company hands out holiday reusable cups.

Serrano said, "It's honestly one of those days when a lot of. . baristas. . try to ask for a day off because it's always a crazy day."

She says she worked at Starbucks for over 4 years. The store where she works has about 264 workers.

All the workers have voted to form a union and have joined the strike on Thursday.

According to the union, the company took action against the union leaders.
