Trail Blazers beat Suns 113-111 in OT

They beat the Phoenix Suns 113-111 in overtime on Friday night to start the season with their second straight win. 

Simmons scored a hook shot with 7.2 seconds remaining in overtime and finished with 16 points.

Devin Booker led the Phoenix with 33 points. His layup gave Phoenix a 109-106 lead in the extra period. 

Booker said Ayton's second mistake was exactly what he needed a second chance to tie the game. 

Took it back to tie 79 at the start of the fourth quarter and it was close for the rest of the way. 

After a free throw by Narkic for Portland, Michal Bridges scored the second of two free throws with 37.1 seconds remaining to tie it at 102.

The Sons were coming off a 107-105 win over Dallas in their season opener on Wednesday. The Sons won 64 games last season

Portland won their opener 115-108 in Sacramento on Wednesday night.
