Trea Turner, Phillies reach $300M

On Monday, the Philadelphia Phillies landed Trey Turner for $300 million.

There was no immediate announcement as the deal includes a no-trade clause, an insider told the press.

Turner joins Philadelphia team that made it to World Series before losing.

He reunited with slugger Bryce Harper after playing with the Washington Nationals from 2015–18.

With the Los Angeles Dodgers in his first full season, Turner pitched brilliantly.

He drove in 101 runs and swiped 27 bases.

Two changes in Turner's athleticism and defensive versatility make him even more valuable.

Turned down $19.65 million qualifying offer from Dodgers in November, and joined a stellar group.
